Abiodun Abdulramah, the Oyo State Commissioner for Education, has debunked accusations that a suspected ritualist converted two kids into yam tubers in the Ibadan area of the state.

On Friday, December 3, the claimed suspected ritualist, a middle-aged guy, was attacked by enraged youngsters after a security guard raised the alarm that he had changed two Bashorun High School pupils into tubers of yam.

The guard claimed that the man employed an ancient technique of throwing money on the ground, which the youngsters allegedly picked up and converted into two yam tubers.

In a statement, Abdulramah confirmed the occurrence, saying that investigations revealed that the suspect was simply a victim of circumstance. He called the experience a "figment of his mind."

The Commissioner, who visited the institution, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that investigations had been carried out.
